Adidas A3 Running Shoes: Ultraride, Power Trainer, And Superstar

Most people find the Adidas A3 line of shoes most suitable for their feet since the shoe allows them to engage in any type of sport without much difficulty. Introduced in early 2002, the Adidas A3 started out as having four polyurethane pieces placed between two plastic-based plates and layered over by a thin coat of foam.
This made the original heel quite firm and durable. As a debuting pair of innovative running shoes, this was good enough for the Adidas A3.
However, the makers of the A3 apparently had other plans. This is because barely two years later, the A3 came out with new and improved features and a price that made the shoe more affordable. The heel, though, became softer and consequently less durable, but this was actually designed so that it will match the degree of durability that the Adidas A3 forefoot carried.
Since its introduction five years ago, the Adidas A3 has undergone various changes, consequently coming out in a wide range of models that include the Ultraride, the Megaride, the Gigaride, the Power Trainer, and the Superstar. Each one of these A3 model shoes is known to have several distinctive properties that collectively contribute to the immense popularity of the line.
The Adidas A3 Ultraride, for example, boasts of a light cushioning midsole apart from a Ground Control System feature that helps the feet to adjust quickly to sudden changes in ground control. The shoe also has a reflectivity feature that turns at 360 degrees, making the Ultraride wearer more noticeable especially if traveling the road at night.
Meanwhile, the Adidas A3 Gigaride differs in the sense that the shoe has a midsole made from plastic cylinders, enabling it to remain strong yet smooth even during relatively long use. The Gigaride also differs in its physical appearance since its top is practically seamless while having a foam pad buried just below the middle forefoot portion.
Another popular Adidas A3 running shoe is the Power Trainer. Unlike the other A3 shoes, the Power Trainer has an upper part that is composed entirely of leather with a textile material lining the entire length of the shoe. The typical Power Trainer outsole is also rubber-based, making the prototype a rather durable Adidas A3 variety.
Meanwhile, two A3 models are known for use in two different sports. The Adidas A3 Superstar is quite popular among basketball players while the Adidas A3 Megaride is a preferred shoe in soccer games. Of the two Adidas A3 lines, the Superstar is undoubtedly the more popular one. Introduced in 1969, the shoe quickly became a constant companion of many famous basketball players with its leather-based low top along with a toe portion fashioned from a durable rubber shell.
This is not to say that the Megaride is inferior. On the contrary, the Adidas A3 Megaride is also a popular sports shoe, particularly in soccer, mainly because the shoe has several properties that work well with the game. For instance, the innersole has a material that enables the foot to easily propel forward as it collides head-on with the soccer ball.
Although the Adidas A3 shoe has evolved since the first prototype, there is no doubt the athletic shoes will continue to improve in design and quality. Adidas is one of the leading retailers of athletic shoes in the market, and the A3 is a direct contributor to this fact.
